The party's General Secretary, Attorney-at-Law Sagara Kariyawasam, said that his party expects to once again field Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa as the candidate of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna for the next presidential election.
Addressing a media briefing held today (17), he stated that Namal Rajapaksa is already building a huge popularity and public opinion in the field of politics in this country. He is being watched by both Sri Lanka and foreign countries.
The party has identified Namal Rajapaksa as a leader who can see the future world and deal with the international community, said General Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam.
